Frequently Asked Questions

Fee
Individual: $185 for 45-min sessions | Couples/Family: $225 for 60-min sessions
I reserve a limited number of reduced fee spots for those in financial need. Please feel free to ask for more information during our initial consultation.
Insurance
I am currently out of network and do not accept insurance. Upon request, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Please contact with your insurance provider for details on coverage and reimbursement rates.
Telehealth
I offer online therapy to all California residents through a secure, HIPAA compliant platform. Teletherapy provides flexibility and convenience, especially for those with busy schedules or complex life situations. In my experience, online therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions, often creating a more comfortable space when you are in your own home or current location. I understand that meeting virtually may not be the right fit for everyone, and it's important that the platform meets your needs and current situation.
Scheduling
I offer a free 15-minute initial phone consultation to briefly go over your reasons for seeking therapy and answer any questions you may have. If we feel like that we may be a good fit, we will schedule a day and time to meet on a regular basis. Weekly sessions are highly recommended, particularly in the beginning, as they help develop trust and safety. The frequency of sessions may be adjusted over time based on your therapeutic needs.
Cancellation Policy
I kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us enough time to find another time and allows the slot to be available for others who may need it. Cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled session will be charged the full session fee. Thank you for honoring this clinical boundary, as your session time is reserved especially for you. Please note that insurance does not cover missed or canceled appointments.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Ask your health care provider to give you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is $400 or higher than your Good FaithEstimate, you have the right to dispute it. Be sure to save a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate for reference. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
